An active and vibrant think-tank and non-profit, composed of economists, economics teachers, students and economics enthusiasts, working together on issues of local, national and global importance.
Across the world, teachers of economics and practising economists play a key role in policy making. The Economics Club Mumbai was founded as a non-profit organisation in 2001, to address the concern of how to be inculcate in the minds of young and budding students the importance of study of Economics for a greater tomorrow.

The Economics Club Mumbai in association with Alpha Arts Academy organised its third “one of a kind” Educational Tour in the month of June 2022. It offered students and teachers from Mumbai an exceptional opportunity to be enchanted by the mesmerizing beauty of nature in Western Europe, appreciate diverse cultures, and interact with some of the best minds in the world!
During this trip, our students visited some of the best universities in Europe and interacted with academic staff members, university administrators, researchers and students from these universities. Students also visited important places of political, historical and cultural significance in Brussels, Ghent, Leuven, Bruges, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Munich, Montreux, Geneva including the European Parliament, Dachau Concentration Camp Munich, BMW Plant and Museum and the Swiss Alps.

MEDITERRANEAN TOUR 2019 !!!
The Economics Club Mumbai wished to explore places which have immense historical and cultural significance and excellent educational institutions, but are not on the list of popular education destinations for Indians. That is how the idea of the Mediterranean trip was conceived by selecting places where western philosophy and renaissance was born. In May 2019, around 36 students and 5 teachers travelled to France, Monaco, Italy and Greece and visited some of the most reputed and oldest universities - The University of Milan, Bocconi University, University of Bologna, John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS Europe) and Istituto Marangoni, a School of Fashion and Design.

The Club organised an educational tour in May 2018 to leading universities in UK and France including Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, SOAS, LSE, University of London and Sciences Po. This unique trip for social sciences students in Mumbai, has motivated these students to aim high and prepare for studies in the best universities…
